Mission Statement

“Our mission is to provide to those interested in AA history, information about the founding, early members and growth of AA from it roots in the Oxford Group to the present time.

We bring scholars, historians, archivists and researchers of AA history together as presenters and speakers to discuss their findings.

They cover what the early members did to develop the practical program of action, deal with new members, conduct twelfth step work, and handle growth in the membership.

Many of the researchers have details about relations with the
cofounders, well known early members and the NY office.

We hope to satisfy the AA history buff’s desire to know more about from whence we came and foster an increased appreciation of the challenges overcome by the early AA members.”
